Rev Up Your Engines at Rounding SG Ultimate Car Themed Cafe and Racing Simulator Experience

For those who live life in the fast lane or can’t resist a round of Wangan at the arcade, Rounding SG is your next pit stop. This car-themed café, designed for auto enthusiasts, revved up its engines and opened its doors on the 14th of January this year, taking over the former Wheeler’s Yard.

Located just off Balestier Road, Rounding SG is a celebration of car culture. As you step through the doors, you’re immediately immersed in an atmosphere of workshop-chic, with brick wall features, the sound of revving engines piped in, and neon automotive logos enhancing the industrial vibes. This 2-storey venue isn’t just a café – it’s also a car wash and home to a racing simulator.

The star of the show is a stunning scarab green 1993 Mazda RX-7, displayed prominently on the ground floor, practically begging for a photo op. Authentic mechanical parts and accessories are tastefully showcased around the perimeter, transforming into artistic installations.

The minds behind Rounding SG share a passion for these mean machines, frequently rotating different makes and models to take centre stage. Who knows what exotic speedster might await you on your next visit?

Once you’ve had your fill of the décor, head upstairs to 99Bends, a professional racing simulator studio founded by bona fide race car champions, Roy Tang and Enzo Ng. Choose from six state-of-the-art souped-up rigs and let your need for speed run wild. And don’t worry, no license required!

Sink into the adjustable race car seats and get behind the wheel of prestigious supercars or everyday taxis. With realistic pedals and steering wheels responding to your every flick, you’ll be fully immersed in scenic simulated racetracks as you put the pedal to the metal.

With rates starting at just $10 for a 15-minute trial and $40 an hour for members, you can live out your Formula 1 dreams without breaking the bank. 99Bends also offers rounds of Mario Kart and other games for a more casual experience at just $2.80 an hour.

After all that excitement, you’re likely to have worked up an appetite. Luckily, Rounding SG’s in-house Rounder’s Café is ready to refuel you with mouthwatering fare. Expect juicy Ribeye Steaks ($30), crisp golden Barramundi ($24), Mexican Lamb Racks ($28), Seafood Marinara ($16), Oyster Egg Omelette ($14), Roasted Black Pepper Smoked Duck ($22), and Oven Baked Truffle Chicken Leg ($21), to name a few.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Rounding SG also houses a late-night Bingsu bar that’s open till 2am. The passionate owners flew to Korea themselves to learn the art of crafting melt-in-your-mouth Bingsu from the experts. The sweet berry compotes, tropical fruits, and decadent drizzles of condensed milk round out the experience.

And it wouldn’t be a true car lover’s paradise without detailing services to pamper your real-life ride. Rounding SG offers next-door car washing and custom detailing by Coatconut’s team of automotive specialists. While not much has been released yet about this part, if it’s anything like its neighbours, you can expect a team of passionate car fanatics and craftsmanship.
