Get ready for an ocean adventure like never before when the renowned S.E.A. Aquarium reopens its doors in 2024 as the jaw-dropping Singapore Oceanarium (SGO). At three times its current size, this expanded underwater world will transport visitors on an epic marine discovery.

Tayo Station (Reopens)

The popular Tayo Station indoor playground at Downtown East has reopened its doors after two months of exciting upgrading works.

This playground destination is themed after the South Korean animated series Tayo The Little Bus and first opened in Singapore back in 2018 as the first Tayo-themed playground outside of South Korea.

Now children can look forward to even more fun at the enhanced venue. Tayo Station boasts an expanded road circuit where kids can take the wheel of colourful swing cars for a thrilling test drive.

Little ones will also stay busy with new slides, tunnels, a hanging bridge, and a giant ball pit perfect for play. The brand new basketball arcade allows up to three young players to challenge their shooting skills against one another.

Party rooms are available to book for birthday celebrations and special events. With the reopening of the upgraded Tayo Station, children can let their imaginations run free in this bright, colourful indoor playground based on the beloved TV show.

Haven XR Cinemas: First-Ever Cinematic Immersive Experience (New)

KidZania (Reopens)

The 7,600 square meter Family Entertainment Centre at Sentosa’s Palawan Beach is getting a major makeover. This spot used to be home to KidZania Singapore, and it’s about to become even more exciting with a bunch of fresh attractions and experiences.

KidZania Singapore is set to make a comeback in the first quarter of 2024. If you’re not familiar, it’s all about kids getting into role-play, trying out different careers, and even exploring some ‘jobs of the future.’ It’s a cool way to teach them about today’s environmental and social issues.

The new place is going to be seriously awesome. We’re talking cool designs, immersive themes, and a whole bunch of fun role-playing activities. There will even be a special area just for toddlers and a spot where the adults can hang out during events.

and here’s the really cool part – they are adding an overnight experience for the kids! Yep, they’ll get to bunk in with comfy beds and keep the fun going overnight!

Big Sister’s Island Returns with Coastal Trails (Reopens)

The reopening of Big Sister’s Island in 2024 as part of the Sisters’ Islands Marine Park is an exciting development for nature lovers. The island has been closed since 2021 for enhancement works.

The revamp will showcase Singapore’s biodiversity through new attractions like a 230m coastal forest trail culminating in a hilltop view deck, a tidal pool converted from an existing lagoon, and even a floating pontoon.

Visitors can enjoy snorkeling at the tidal pool among marine life like sea slugs, anemones, and octopi.

Over 100,000 corals will also be nurtured and planted to augment the park’s reef ecosystem. While the status of the dive trails is still unconfirmed, the pontoon will allow non-divers to observe corals and sea life up close.

Accessible by ferry and charter boat, the reopened Big Sister’s Island starting 2024 is a gorgeous natural escape right off Singapore’s shores.

Minion Land Zone at Universal Studios Singapore (New)

The lovable Minions are coming to Universal Studios Singapore (USS) in 2024 with the park’s newest zone: Minion Land. These scene-stealing characters will finally get a homebase tailored just for them, taking over the former Madagascar section.

Minion Land will feature multiple new rides and attractions themed around the popular Despicable Me films. Ride highlights include the 3D extravaganza Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. There will also be exclusive Minion souvenirs and cuisine to delight fans.

While the Minions have made appearances at USS before, Minion Land marks the first entire zone dedicated to these adorable troublemakers. Get ready for hilarious antics when this long-awaited addition opens at Universal Studios Singapore in 2024!

Rainforest Wild Park: A Tropical Rainforest Experience (New)

An exciting new addition coming to the Mandai Nature Precinct in 2024 is the Rainforest Wild park. As part of the precinct alongside the renowned Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, and Bird Paradise, Rainforest Wild will provide an immersive multi-sensory experience showcasing the biodiversity of Southeast Asia’s habitats.

Spanning lush rainforest, mangrove, and wetland environments, Rainforest Wild will be home to over 300 animal species. Visitors can walk through the treetops along a 250-meter suspension bridge for breathtaking views of the rainforest canopy. The Canopy Walk will also allow up-close encounters with nature through elevated platforms and walkways.
