Halloween Horror Nights 2023: Where Nightmares Become Reality

Prepare for the Ultimate Fright Fest: Halloween Horror Nights 2023 is back and it’s bigger, scarier, and more immersive than ever before!

From September 29 to November 4, 2023, Universal Studios Singapore will be transformed into a terrifying playground with five haunted houses, three scare zones, two live shows, and a unique dining experience. Brace yourself for a night of spine-chilling thrills!

Besides being able to experience all the standard rides Universal Studios have to offer, the theme park itself will be filled with roaming scare actors dressed in horrifying yet impressive costumes, ready to surprise and frighten anyone who ventures into their territory adding to the whole atmosphere that Halloween Horror Nights have become known for.

Haunted Houses

If you love zombies the first house will be right up your alley, based on the popular Netflix series, “All of Us Are Dead”, where students must survive in a high school while a zombie outbreak rages around them, you will take you on a terrifying and bone-chilling journey through a zombie apocalypse that is sure to satisfy zombie lovers.

Next up “Pied Piper’s Grimm Encounters”, This haunted house is based on the classic fairy tales of the Pied Piper. However, in this version of the story, the Pied Piper is not a benevolent figure, but a sinister creature who leads children to their doom. He has morphed iconic fairytales with his evil tunes, you must escape his nightmarish forest of hell without falling victim to his malevolent melodies.

Your third haunted house will be “Rebirth of the Matriarch”.  Home to a powerful witch you’ll need to use all your courage to survive this encounter. Innocent victims are lured into this hell house to be sacrificed in a ritual to bring this murderous family’s matriarch back to life. Will you manage to make it out alive?

The second last house will be a journey to the depths of hell itself, “DIYU: Descent into Hell” puts you face to face with King Yama who will deem whether or not you may leave or set to remain in this fiery wasteland for all eternity. You must navigate through the tortuous levels of Di Yu while dealing with all sorts of demonic creatures. Will you be able to escape King Yama’s judgment or is this where your journey ends for you…

The final house is “The Weeknd: After Hours Til Dawn Nightmare”, hit singer Abel Tesfaye also known as The Weeknd, has his own horror themed house this year and he’s out to trap all those that venture in.

Perfect for fans of his or even those who are just curious how the organisers will be able to pull it off and make this house truly frightening while keeping it aligned with The Weeknd theme.

You will traverse through the Spotify number 1’s night club packed with endless winding corridors that are full of twists and turns as you try to escape this living hell and avoid being enslaved to the twisted artist.

Live Shows

In addition, witness soul-shattering shows like “Judgement Day (Scaremony)” where in the midst of raging flames and fury, an unfortunate soul tries to evade his ultimate judgment. Will he manage to break free and escape, or shall he remain ensnared in eternal confinement? And “The Hacker: Game Over” where you will witness a malicious A.I. entity on a rampage, infiltrating and corrupting the games of its victims, as it desperately attempts to break free from the confines of the virtual world and enter the realm of your worst nightmares.

Scare Zones: Dare to Venture

There will also be 3 scare zones, the first being “Dead Man’s Wharf” where you will have to deal with Madame Dragon who was a real-life pirate born as Shi Yang, Visitors will come face-to-face with these fearsome pirates as they wander the streets of Universal Studios Singapore, tread lightly or you may just be tossed to the sharks. The second scare zone enter the “The Hacker”, a dark and foreboding place with electronic noises and distorted voices filling the air. A horrific digital wasteland where technology is in control feeding on the souls of those who are lost and alone. Lastly, “The Cursed Kiramam” inspired by the Indian legend of the Kiramam, a village that was once affluent they have fallen from grace cursed to an eternity of suffering, with no end in sight. Each step brings you closer to fear itself!

Event Details

Halloween Horror Nights will take place on 18 spine-chilling nights from September 29 to November 4, 2023. Operating hours are from 7:30pm to 1:30am on peak nights and 7:30pm to 12:30am on non-peak nights. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Universal Studios Singapore box office.
