Go Karting at Singapore Expo: Find Out All You Need To Know

A new outdoor go-kart circuit has made its way to Singapore Expo. The once underutilised car park is now Singapore’s biggest outdoor go-kart track in the city after the circuit in Singapore Turf Club at Kranji.

It’s a thrilling sensation for racing enthusiasts in the East to be able to go karting in Singapore on your doorstep.

New go-kart track for the East neighbourhood:

This Singapore go-kart track is not the first one in the city but it is the first to grace the eastern part of Singapore. There’s one located in Kranji at Singapore Turf Club and another indoor go-kart track at the Resort World Sentosa. However, the distance being too far and inconvenient. Perhaps, the Singapore Expo will lure the young and the adventurous racers in the East to test their skills at this new go-kart circuit.

Remodeled from a 300-space carpark, this new race track will be able to host up to 15 karts at once. But with the pandemic ongoing, the staff members are limiting the group to 5 pax at a time due to the COVID safe distancing measure. The track layout has 16 turns and is 750m in length. The circuit also consist of an air conditioning viewing gallery including other facilities nearby.

Pricing details:

The pricing for the go kart session at Singapore Expo resembles the one of Resort World Sentosa circuit. For only 10 minutes per session, there are two different pricing options available. You can also book for corporate and parties occasions for a price of S$2.5k – S$2.9k per hour. For those who opt for advanced go-karts, you must possess a driving/motorcycle license as per BCA Amusement Ride Regulations. Other requirements include covered shoes, a minimum height of 1.4m and, hairnets and helmet (provided by KF1 Karting).

$28 for novice drivers (30km/h)
$35 for advanced drivers (50km/h)

Inspiration from KF1 Karting once again:

This new track is operated by KF1 Karting who were the inspiration behind the indoor go-kart circuit at Sentosa. It is said to have cost around $1 million to build due to the refurbishment of landscape, laying of tarmac, the lighting system and the air-conditioned viewing gallery. With an army of workers, this new Singapore Expo Go Kart Circuit is said to be being built to perfection.

More facilities built around Singapore Expo:

Besides the go-kart circuit, there are more facilities being built around the Singapore Expo site to cater for the need of visitors and sports enthusiasts to the area. This includes an indoor badminton hall with 22 courts and a Timbre+ food village.
