Singapore Writers Festival 2023: Plot Twist

Prepare for plot twists, unexpected combinations, and unlikely connections at the 26th Singapore Writers Festival!

From 17 to 26 November, Singapore’s premier multilingual literary arts festival will embrace the unpredictable with mould-breaking and genre-bending programmes that expand the possibilities of the written and spoken word.

An eclectic line-up of close to 200 in-person programmes features over 250 international and local presenters, inviting everyone from children and youths to adults to join in on panel discussions, workshops, meet-the-author sessions, performances, and exhibitions—all with an exciting twist.

Look out for international headliners such as literary powerhouses Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, Lemn Sissay, John Patrick Green, and Viet Thanh Nguyen, who is spotlighted in this year’s Asian-American Focus.

Expect curveballs and unconventional offerings such as the Hip Hop 50th Anniversary Programme Series and conversations on combat sports and punk rock. Embark on walking tours and tantalize both your literal and literary taste buds with food-themed programmes.
